Management Information

Natural Chem's senior management has extensive experience in the operational, management, regulatory and legal aspects of industrial plants, including grain processing plants such as ethanol plants and petrochemical facilities. Natural Chem has also developed a team of nationally prominent engineering and process consultants that provide expertise in the design of plants using the Natural Chem Process

Below we provide information on our management team which has worked together since 1992 to develop the Natural Chem Process and the Natural Nutrients Project which, in Phase I involves the development of the Natural Chem Glycerine Plant in Corning, Iowa and the Natural Nutrients Plant in Stanley, Wisconsin.

Robert J. Salazar, Esq., CEO|President

Mr. Salazar is Natural Chem's CEO|President. He is a 1976 graduate of Stanford Law School, Juris Doctor, and a 1973 honors graduate of Colorado College with a B.A., Political Science (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Dean’s Award). He has more than 22 years experience in the business, marketing, legal and regulatory aspects of the ethanol, chemical and feed industries. Mr. Salazar was a founder, Board Member and General Counsel (pro bono) for the Denver Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and represented community based organizations promoting economic development.

Carter B. Conlin, P.E.,Executive Vice President|Plant Operations

Mr. Conlin is Natural Chem's Senior Vice President|Plant Operations. He was employed by Texaco for more than 34 years. While with Texaco, among his various duties, he supervised the production operations at a refinery having more than 500 employees. Mr. Conlin has more than 45 years experience in the petrochemical and refining industries. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (B.E.), 1945, in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science Degree (M.S.), 1947, in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Jerry L. Roberts, Senior Vice President|Supply Chain

Mr. Roberts is Natural Chem’s Senior Vice President|Supply Chain. He provides Natural Chem with more than 30 years experience in the feed and grain industries and the futures markets. Mr. Roberts attended the University of Kansas and is a former president of the Board of Trade in Salina, Kansas.

Walter L. Walker, CPA, Senior Vice President|Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Walker is Natural Chem's Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Walker is a CPA with experience with ethanol and industrial plant operations. He served as controller of Tennol Energy, an ethanol producer in Tennessee, and was on the management team assisting the U.S. Department of Energy in over-seeing several ethanol plants in the early 1990’s. He holds a B.S. degree, Accounting, 1973, from the University of Tennessee and is a licensed C.P.A.

Carlos R. Castro, Esq., Senior Vice President|General Counsel

Mr. Castro is Natural Chem’s Senior Vice President/General Counsel and provides the Company with expertise in legal, regulatory and business matters.He has provided legal counsel on matters related to the renewable fuels industry since the 1980s. He is a 1978 graduate of Stanford Law School, Juris Doctor degree, and holds a B.A. degree, Political Science, 1975, from Yale University.

Kenneth Cahall, Vice President|Glycerine Operations

Mr. Cahall has more than 30 years glycerine production experience through his tenure with Procter & Gamble. He is one of the world's leading glycerine refining experts. Procter & Gamble is the nation's largest producer of natural glycerine. Mr. Cahall serves as Natural Chem's Vice President/Glycerine Operations.

 

James E. Naeger, P.E., Vice President|Engineering & Construction

Mr. Naeger is Natural Chem’s Vice President/Engineering & Construction. He provides Natural Chem with expertise in the development of major industrial plants. He was a member for 16 years of the staff of Stone & Webster, a prominent, global engineering firm and also served with Enron Engineering for several years. He holds a B.S. degree, 1969, Mechanical Engineering, from the University of Missouri.

Juan M. Maravilla, Vice President|Administration

Mr. Maravilla is Natural Chem’s Vice President|Administration. He provides the Company with expertise in the management and administration of its business affairs. He has experience with the Enterprise One enterprise resource planning system from Oracle/PeopleSoft that will be used by the Company to manage and operating its business. Mr. Maravilla holds a B.S., Accounting, 1974, from Metro State College, Denver.
